    Lithuanian electricity transmission system operator, Litgrid, has delivered a third autotransformer to Ukraine. This equipment will contribute to the restoration and strengthening of Ukraine’s electricity transmission network.     Litgrid first quarter results: energy independence achieved, reliable electricity supply ensured
    On February 9, 2025, Litgrid, the Lithuanian electricity transmission system operator, successfully completed the Baltic synchronisation with continental Europe, which had been planned for more than 10 years. The reliability of electricity supply continued to be ensured during the first three months of this year. Due to temporary factors affecting the electricity balancing market, the company incurred losses, but the adjusted financial results were better than in the same period last year.

    Lithuania’s electricity transmission system operator, Litgrid, has signed a contract for the design work of the Harmony Link overland electricity interconnector with Poland.     Lithuanian electricity transmission system operator Litgrid has successfully accessed the pan-European Platform for the International Coordination of Automatic Frequency Restoration Reserves and Stable System Operation (PICASSO). Litgrid became the 13th electricity transmission system operator (TSO) to join the platform which enhances economic and technical efficiency integrating the European balancing markets and ensuring system security.
