Reconstruction of the 330/110/10 kV Panevėžys TS
Significance of the project

Rehabilitation of the 330/110/10 kV Panevėžys transformer substation is necessary in order to increase reliability of operation of the national power system. This is one of the prerequisites for the construction of the power links with Poland and Sweden and for the integration of the national power system into the European power system.

Purpose of the project

The rehabilitation will increase the reliability of the power supply to the eastern part of Lithuania.

Calendar of events

In September 2010, a contract with Kauno energetikos remontas UAB was concluded.

In August 2012, part of the 330 kV open switchyard equipment was connected upon rehabilitation, a new remote control system was implemented with a new 330 kV control panel.

All outdated items of equipment in the substation will be replaced by the summer of 2014.
 
Project funding

The project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund under Measure “Modernisation and Development of the Power Transmission System“, Priority 4 “The Fundamental Economic Infrastructure“ of the EU Economic Growth Operational Programme“.
