Construction of Pagėgiai-Bitėnai electricity transmission line
Significance of the project
Construction of this transmission line will enhance the reliability of supply to the customers of electricity in Pagėgiai Municipality and the entire West Lithuania region and will enable the integration of renewable energy resources into the power system.
Purpose of the project
Increase the reliability of electricity transmission in Pagėgiai district.
Calendar of events
On completion of procurement procedures, on 29 September 2011, Litgrid concluded a contract for the preparation of territorial planning documents, strategic assessment of consequences for the environment, and environmental impact assessment with Archstudija UAB and the Coastal Research and Planning Institute under the Klaipėda University acting under a joint-activity agreement.
Construction of the Pagėgiai-Bitėnai power transmission line is planned to be completed in 2020.
