Public consultations regarding methodologies of the Baltic balancing capacity market
Baltic states’ transmission system operators “Litgrid”, „Augstsprieguma tīkls“ ir „Elering“ (hereinafter – Baltic TSOs) have prepared amendments for the Baltic TSOs’ proposal for the Baltic balancing capacity market (hereinafter – the Capacity market methodology) in accordance with Article 33(1) and Article 38(1) of the Commission Regulation (EU) 2017/2195 of 23 November 2017 (hereinafter – the Regulation) and for the Methodology for the market-based allocation process of cross-zonal capacity for the exchange of balancing capacity for the Baltic CCR in accordance with Article 41(1) of the Regulation (hereinafter – the Cross-zonal capacity allocation methodology).
Baltic TSOs are announcing public consultations for the Capacity market methodology and for the Cross-zonal capacity allocation methodology and welcome interested parties, market participants and national regulatory authorities to provide comments and feedback. The public consultation in accordance with the Network codes will be held for one month from 13 August 2024 until 13 September 2024.
