Assessment of the adequacy of Lithuania's electricity system under extreme conditions 2022-2025

The aim of the study is to evaluate the adequacy of the Lithuanian electric power system in extreme system operating conditions before the start of synchronous operation with the continental Europe networks. The assessment is based on the European Resource Adequacy Assessment (ERAA) Methodology, approved by ACCER on 2nd October 2020.  The study analyses 32 different assumptions scenarios. The study results showed that in the Baltic emergency synchronization and long-term isolated work scenarios (considering the availability of generating sources currently declared), no adequacy problems are identified in the Baltic system during the 2022-2025.
