The isolated operation test of Baltic States’ power systems
Status: consultation with partners at political level.
Objective of the project
In preparation for synchronisation with Continental European grids, the readiness of the Baltic States’ energy system to operate independently must be tested.
Significance of the project
The joint Baltic States’ isolated operation test will test the availability of the system in the event of an unplanned system outage. It will also test the technical capability of the Baltic electricity system power generation modules, assessing technical and organisational risk management measures and actions during isolated operation.
