Approved proposal for the Baltic balancing capacity market
The Baltic region national regulatory authorities (hereinafter – Baltic NRAs) have approved the transmission system operators’ Litgrid, Augstsprieguma tīkls and Elering amended proposal for the Baltic balancing capacity market in accordance with Article 33(1) and Article 38(1) of the Commission Regulation (EU) 2017/2195 of 23 November 2017 (hereinafter – the Regulation). The proposal was amended after receiving a request for amendment from the Baltic NRAs and was submitted for approval on 27 November 2023. The Baltic NRAs had reached a common position that the methodology proposal agrees with the requirements set out in the Regulation.
