Baltic island mode proceeding as planned, system operators conduct planned voltage deviation tests
The electricity systems of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania continue to operate independently and the isolated operation test is being carried out according to plan.
In the second phase of the test, Baltic system operators will conduct a voltage deviation tests, during which voltage levels will be deliberately fluctuated. We will observe how automatic voltage regulation systems respond to these changes. Consumers will not notice these voltage level variations.
After the successful completion of the island operation test, the system will transition to the normal island operation mode.
For the last hour period the total electricity generation in the Baltic States amounted to 3024 MW and the total consumption amounted to 3143 MW. The rest is covered by interconnections to Nordics.
