Recontruction of the 110 kV switchyard in the 330/110/10 kV Šiauliai transformer substation (TS).
Significance of the project
 
Enhancement of the Lithuanian power system is one of the prerequisites for successful construction of the power links with Poland and Sweden. The project on the rehabilitation of the 110 kV switchyard in the Šiauliai TS will increase both the reliability of the national power transmission system and the energy independence of the country.

Purpose of the project
 
Upon rehabilitation, the 330/110/10 kV Šiauliai TS will supply power to customers in a more reliable manner and at a lower cost. Disconnections of the 110 kV switchyard for maintenance and repairs will be less frequent.
 
Main characteristics of the project
 
Project value: LTL 19 million

Calendar of events
 
All outdated items of equipment in the 110 kV switchyard will be replaced by the spring of 2013.
 
Project funding

The project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund under Measure “Modernisation and Development of the Power Transmission System“, Priority 4 “The Fundamental Economic Infrastructure“ of the EU Economic Growth Operational Programme“.
