Residual mix

According to Article 51 of the Law on Electricity, energy suppliers in the invoices shall disclose and provide:
1) comprehensible information on the share of each energy source, including renewable energy sources, in the fuel used for the production of electricity  supplied by the supplier, in the previous year;
2) references to information sources  that provide comprehensible information on the environmental impact, including the amounts of greenhouse gases and radioactive waste generated by electricity generation during the previous year.  
 
According to Article 28 of the Law on Renewables Energy
Energy supplier in the invoices or in the promotional material accompanying the invoices shall provide information to its final customers about the share or the amount of energy from renewable sources in the energy supplied in the previous year. This share or amount of supplied energy shall be calculated on the basis of the amount of energy from renewable energy sources for which a guarantee of origin has been cancelled except:
1) the share of energy in its energy mix for which no guarantee of origin is issued and for which the supplier may use the residual mix.
 
LITGRID AB is a Designated Authority and in accordance to the Rules of RES guarantee of origin calculates and publishes the residual mix.  From the date of LITGRID membership in the AIB, the official Lithuanian residual mix is calculated by Grexel Systems Ltd on behalf of the AIB. More information regarding the calculation of the 2019 European attribute mix and the residual mix profiles of all the European countries can be found on AIB website.

The CO2 amount in Lithuanian residual mix 2022 is 466.36 gCO2/kWh and the radioactive waste content is 0.33 mg/kWh. The percentage of untracked consumption was 51.89 % in 2022.
