The NordBalt cable has been laid in the Baltic Sea
The Topaz Installer cable laying vessel has finished her work. In just a year and two months, with short interruptions, she laid 400 kilometres of NordBalt cable onto the bottom of the Baltic Sea. 90% of the link construction works have already been completed.

Litgrid Group's results for the first quarter of 2015 announced
In the first quarter of 2015, the Litgrid Group‘s profit before tax was EUR 2.4 million, EUR 1.5 million higher than in corresponding period of 2014. Higher profit was mainly determined by lower amortization expenses due to tangible fixed assets evaluation performed last year.

Average electricity market price in April 19% lower than a year ago
In April the average electricity price in the Nord Pool Spot Lithuanian bidding area was 35.61 EUR/MWh, and this is almost 20% lower than in April last year.

The last 50 kilometres of NordBalt cable will be soon laid to the seabed
During the month long work in 2015 the special vessel Topaz Installer laid more than 50 kilometers of HVDC cable NordBalt in the Baltic Sea. She is completing the laying of the second same length section at the moment.
There’s been three incidents in March and April this year when the commands by the Russian military navy were received by the vessels involved in the NordBalt cable installation.

20 April 2015 a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed to agree on common power trading principles for the LitPol Link, the new Lithuania-Poland power interconnection planned to open in the end of 2015.
