Information about the results of public consultations on the draft rules for the capacity calculation and allocation
On 11 September Baltic TSOs submitted reviewed draft rules to Baltic countries’ National Regulatory Authorities and asked for their review and approval.

NordBalt cable lying safe on the bottom of the Baltic Sea
All cable-related works on the NordBalt power interconnection have been completed in the Baltic Sea. The 400 km long submarine cable connecting Lithuania and Sweden has been protected from vessel anchors and fishing equipment along its most vulnerable sections.

Reconstruction of the 330 kV switchyard – the gate of LitPol Link - completed
One of the key components of the electricity interconnection with Poland LitPol Link - the 330 kV switchyard at the Alytus transformer substation was completed in the beginning of September. As soon as LitPol Link starts operating, the switchyard will become the crossroad of the power flows between Lithuania and Poland.

Litgrid Group‘s results for the first half of 2015 announced
In the first half of 2015 the Litgrid Group‘s profit before tax was EUR 2.8 million compared to EUR 2.7 million losses in the corresponding period of 2014. The results were mainly determined by 26% decrease in costs.

In July electricity prices remained low
In July the average price for electricity in the Nord Pool Spot Lithuanian bidding area was 23% lower than at the same time last year, reaching 44.3 EUR/MWh. Compared to June, the price of electricity rose 4 %.
